RMHS Youth Breeder of the Year Award

2011 DEADLINE FOR NOMINATION IS March 31, 2011
The "Guidelines" for being nominated to receive the award are as follows:
1. The Youth must be a current RMHS member.
2. The youth member must be active in a local club or organization that encourages the Youth to be both a breeder and an exhibitor.
3. The youth member must actively participate in supporting the functions of their local club or organization, such as clerking at show, helping with the setup or cleanup, fulfilling the duties of the Youth Show Secretary or Superintendent; overall, having an attitude which desires to serve both the club/organization and the other exhibitors participating in a show.
4. The youth member must be an active rabbit or cavy breeder; constantly working to better their herd through the efforts of breeding and exhibiting their stock.
5. The youth member must exhibit the qualities of "Good Sportsmanship." They can demonstrate this quality by helping others who are new to the hobby; providing information to educate them to become better breeders; being active in their local club, working at local shows, etc.
Each club who wishes to submit a name for consideration should send a letter of recommendation expressing why they believe the Youth is qualified to receive the award. Please send all nominations to: jerry parks at jjcparks@haxtuntel.net
A committee appointed by the President will review the nominations that have been submitted.
The committee may decide not to recognize anyone for this award if they believe none of the candidates meet all of the above criteria. The winner of the award will be announced and presented at the State Convention.
