Welcome to the Pikes Peak Rabbit Breeders Association, first established in 1914 as one of the oldest rabbit clubs in the United States. Our membership includes members throughout the state of Colorado as well as Kansas and Wyoming. We are located and hold our shows in Central Colorado with easy access from Colorado Interstates I-25 and I-70 and are within 45 minutes from Denver International Airport.
We generally host two All Breed Open & Youth shows each year held in Castle Rock, Colorado at the Douglas County Fairgrounds. Our early show usually held the second Saturday of April is the Art Nelson Memorial Show, while our late show is the third Saturday of November and is our Bob Day Memorial Show. Both of these shows include memorial plaques that list our Youth Best In Show winners. Our shows also include breed specialty shows, including Holland Lops, Mini Lops and Satins to name a few. All of our shows are ARBA Sanctioned as well as RMHS so that exhibitors can earn RMHS Sweepstakes Points and can compete for annual RMHS Sweepstakes Awards for those exhibitors that are also RMHS members. Exhibitors can show rabbits at our shows whether they are members of PPRBA or ARBA. You do not have to be a member of any rabbit club to show your rabbits. Please email our secretary listed below so that we can add you to our email distribution of Show Catalogs.
Our goal is to promote our wonderful hobby of rabbits, as well as making friends and to grow our youth, in the hobby but also as respected & responsible adults. An integral part of our club is our Youth Programs. We currently have Youth involved on the club's Board of Directors as well as a Youth Committee which has been organized to support and sponsor youth activities in our club.
We welcome all new members whether resident in the area or outside the state. Annual Membership dues/renewals are $3/Youth, $5/Single Members, $8/Families (*$1 Extra for each Family Memberships in excess of 2. Non ARBA Members add $1/member). Contact: Diana Allen, PPRBA Sec./Treasurer, Email: diana.allen@yahoo.com for membership forms and further information. We can also advise you of many other wonderful clubs in the state of Colorado that may be in your local area as well as information in becoming RMHS members or information in obtaining specific breeds of rabbits.
